Why a pseudonym

first reason: i just find my real name boring, sorry Mom and Dad. i was almost named Arlo after the folk singer Arlo Guthrie, performer of the best Thanksgiving song ever ... while that might have made public school even worse (if that's even possible for a twiggy little art homo in the heteronormative 90s) i do sometimes wish i'd ended up Arlo Rednour

second reason: i was proud of the name i came up with ... almost everything i make involves cardboard, reclaimed packing materials, discarded boxes, old cereal boxes. with some markers, a little glitter, a lot of unconventional engineering, and so much tape i turn what is a boring every day material into colorful spectacles ... 

third reason: i hope to collaborate with other artists in the future and having a working name that isn't tied to my legal name will allow for the Cardboard Spectacle umbrella to one day open up and cover a collective of artists, or at least a few guest stars on my work
