soon i’ll have around 7 weeks off (yeay! except for the unpaid part) so i’m trying to plan some trips and to make some stuff … and to submit some work to some local art stuff … so keep an eye out … and yell at me if i don’t update again for almost a year!

I’m also still working on that zine about porn … i even shared some of the text with a friend of mine who’s a film professor!
now … if only i could actually maybe finish issue one some day …
i also bound up a big chunk of the journal articles and research i’ve printed out for this project and made my own little gay porn textbook

two mixed CDs i made, the first for a friend of mine who is just about to finish her architecture masters

Friends and Family
Lets start with the family …
if you know me at all i’ve probably shown you this picture and i’ve probably told you about how my mom works on the Oscars statuette …
but that is one of the least interesting things she works on, and the company she works for* made a booklet of the different patinas and finishes they do
*(which is now called UAP and in a different town but was here in Beacon and called Tallix when she started there in the early 90s)
and now the friend …
this is my friend (and former coworker) Lori as we assembled a piece of hers for a local art event of site specific performances and sculptures here in Beacon. in addition to putting together her main piece on the pebbly shore of the Hudson, we also worked together to try and build a piece out of some packing peanuts. starting with columns made by spraying the peanuts with water and fusing them together we tried to build something between the trees on the path leading to her main piece
we’d hoped to create an arch over the path but the small sections she’d pre-built couldn’t span the gap and so we pivoted to using them to connect two nearby trees …
The New Year
first thing i did this year was to transition to my new planner for the year (i kind of wish Moleskin made this planner in more colors!)
when i finish this one it’ll be 4 years of illustrated day planners!
(and i’m already looking to get one for 2026)

but i have been very good at keeping up with my planner, almost every week got it’s own top of page illustration and there are lots of weird little doodles and larger drawings in between to-do lists and doctor’s appointments …
i even managed to take some in progress shots
Father's Day ...
for reasons that actually do (or at least did) make sense … my work has three Laser Disk players … and we used to have one too, but when Dad got it out of the attic a few years ago it had given up … work was also getting ready to toss some interesting Laser Disks … so that was my father’s day plan sorted … i just had to get some adapters …
