oh look i’m semi on top of things … and even cleaned up the scheduled posts that should be coming soon …

Work/Studio in Progress
my “studio” is my closet … so it’s not a lot of space … but i’m very good at making a lot of use of a little space … and also constantly moving stuff around instead of doing actual work …
but when i found this cute cabninate on a walk home from the wine bar i decided to heft it all they way home by hand … (it’s actually not all that heavy, but it was very awkward)
Thankfully i didn’t try and bring it home on one of these stormy nights we’ve had …
(most of my time at my day job has been shreeding old documents … and all i could think of the whole time was this Futurama joke)
do you have the time to listen to me wine?
i’ve actually spent most of my time (and money) at the wine bar in town … but i’ve made a lot of friends there and i’m getting close to establishing some alliances for the future of town …
(i managed to get the last glass of a wine me and one friend liked and it made me think of that William Carlos Williams poem about plums … so i made him an apology card … )
Pride in The City
I only went to the local Pride event in Poughkeepsie last year (i was super on a budget last year), and i’ve only been down in the city once this year just after new years … if i’d planned better i would have stayed over a night or two … but a quick day trip is fun too
and i got to see a new part of The High Line that connects to the new train station …
I actually mostly skipped the parade itself (except for 2020 when it was just a mass march i rarely go to the parade), there is plenty of other crazy stuff going on all around town on that i just wander through it all and then see if i want to stop anywhere …
which is how i ended up sitting on Pier 45 watching people dance and double dutch. it was also easier to meet up with my friend when only one of us was moving around … and he arrived (with beer) just before the sky opened up and poured all over everyone … i had my rain jacket, and most people were ready for it … so it was fun!
Another successful Pride in the books i made my way back to Grand Central a little soggy … but happy …
Pages out of Time
while i’m not at all consistent at … this stuff … i am still good at keeping up with my planner …
and i’ve been on summer half time at work so i can go back to my favorite Monday morning ritual …
Some of the intervening weeks …
I have actually been getting a lot done … for a while it was mostly at work, and a lot of it should have already been posted, some of it got in the post on time!
the last two weeks though … it has been a brain melting heatwave (which makes me glad i’m not still a landscaper (and shocked i was one for so long!))
so, i mopped myself up … got my shit together and went to the one cafe in town i’m pretty good at doing laptop-y work at …
i’ve got some timed posts i’m going to set up so that there will continue to be “content” even if i forget to do this for a few weeks again …
and i’m going to wrap up today with a little works in progres/studio post …
but first: Pride!
I spend most of my time listening to You’re Wrong About it and i finally got some stickers!
